Product introduction

Laibid stone is recognized as one of the oldest decorative stones in Iran. It boasts a wide range of colors, including light blue, gray, azure, and bright white, and is primarily sourced from the Isfahan province, specifically in the Laibidand Hasan Robat region located 100 kilometers north of Isfahan. Scientifically categorized as metamorphic rocks resulting from the recrystallization of limestone rocks, Laibid stone forms various decorative patterns based on the level of metamorphism and crystal growth. The Sanandaj-Sirjan structural zone houses the renowned crystal mines, including the Tang-e Hana mines in Neiriz-Fars province, Najafabad, Aligoodarz crystal, Laibid, and Godar Sorkh in the Muteh region. These mines contribute significantly to Iran's crystal reserves, which rank among the country's top proven reserves following granite and marble.

The success and widespread consumption of Laibid stone throughout history can be attributed to the diverse dimensions of its production. Laibid stones are crafted in various types, shapes, and sizes. In recent times, there has been a shift towards producing Laibid stones in slab dimensions, similar to other stones, which accentuates their range of colors. This development has catered to customers seeking specific blue or white-colored stones for their projects. The cutting of Laibid stone is typically carried out to create bookmatch or fourmatch patterns, capitalizing on its unique color variations. The processing of Laibid slab stone is primarily conducted in modern factories equipped with high-quality machinery. These stones are manufactured and distributed in both slab and tile forms, with slab production being more cost-effective and offering superior processing quality compared to tiles.

In addition to its durability and high resistance, a key attribute of this stone is its remarkably low water absorption rate and its suitability for creating book match and four match frames using slabs in various settings. As a result, the utilization of different white crystal slabs in areas prone to moisture and continuous water exposure, such as bathrooms, luxury bathrooms, kitchens, washrooms, and pools, is widespread. Furthermore, the light color of this stone enhances the brightness of the space, creating a visually appealing interior. As per the provided data table, the average specific weight of this stone is 2.74 tons per cubic meter. Its compressive strength ranges from 60.87-82.67 MPa parallel to the layering and 25.69-29.83 MPa perpendicular to the layering.
