Product introduction

Cream Travertine sourced from Abarkooh falls under the sedimentary rock category and is part of the limestone group. Its formation is a result of sediment accumulation from hot springs and mineral waters. The gases within these waters during sedimentation create voids and spaces within the stone, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and lending a distinctive look to the final product. Classified as cream Cream Travertine, this stone is extracted from mines in Abarkooh, a city in the Yazd province. It showcases hues of cream, beige, light chocolate, and occasionally coffee, with dark chocolate accents and halos that further enhance its visual allure.

Cream Travertine

Cream Travertine stone from Abarkooh is available in different forms, including blocks, slabs, and tiles. Blocks, which are also referred to as raw stone, are extracted from mines and solid rocks using specialized equipment. Once transported to stone processing factories, they undergo a series of processing steps to transform them into attractive tiles or slabs for the market. The strength of each slab increases through various processing stages, making it suitable for use in different construction spaces. As part of the processing, any gaps or voids in the stone are filled with resin and epoxy to improve its strength and adhesion, while also enhancing its aesthetics.

Cream Travertine

Abarkooh Cream Travertine exhibits a high level of durability and moderate resistance to compression, making it well-suited for building facades and a variety of construction uses. Its porous quality, natural faults, and abundant cavities contribute to its lighter weight compared to other Cream Travertine varieties. During the processing stage, these voids are filled with resin and epoxy to enhance the stone's visual appeal, strength, and adhesion. This stone has a specific weight of around 2.5 tons per cubic meter. Moreover, its compressive strength ranges between 37.04- 44.42 MPa in parallel orientation to the layers and 41.58- 48.86 MPa in perpendicular orientation. Abarkooh Cream Travertine finds widespread application in external building facades, Roman and Classical architectural styles, interior design, courtyards, parking walls, decorative stone items, hallways, and various other architectural projects
